The Students' Union of Govt. T.Romana College elected their leaders for the SU2009
academic session 2009 - 2010 on 17th July, 2009. The Returning Officer Mr CVL Tlanhlua, lecturer Department of Public Administration, declared the following students elected for the post of Students' Union Office Bearers of
Govt. T. Romana College. The Returning Officer was assisted by four lecturers - Pu Lalhmachhuan (P.A), Dr Benjamin Ralte (History), Ms P.B.Lallawmawmi (Sociology) and Ms Jasmine Lalremmawii (P.A) as Polling Officials.

The newly elected SU leaders are to hold their respective offices within seven days from the date of election.

Freshers' Social 2009

The Students' Union of T.Romana College organised Freshers' Social 2009 at Archives Hall , Babutlang on July 14. The function was graced by the Chief Guest Mr Lalrinmawia, IFS, Environment and Forest Department, the Principal Dr F.Lalhmingsanga and several members of the teaching staff. In his speech the Chief Guest addressed the students encouraging them to have positive outlook in their Fresher_09students' life and to emulate him. The Chief Guest further spoke about Global Warming and Climate Change, calling the students to be aware of these environmental concerns. The Chief Guest also presented the Lilipuii Award, Tlangchuhthanga Award, R.Kapenga Award and L.Biakchhungi Award to outstanding students for their achievement in the last University Examination.

The Principal Dr F.Lalhmingsanga, in his speech, addressed the fresh students to remember and stick to their responsibilities of learning. He welcomed the new students and told them to feel at home in the College. The Second Session started from 1:00 P.M. with much entertainment.

The Academic Committee in its meeting on 25th June, 2009 has worked out the following schedule for the current academic session.

1. Freshers' Social: Freshers' Social 2009 will be held on July 14 at Archives Hall, Babutlang.

2. Students' Union Election: Election of Students' Union Leaders will be conducted on July 17, 2009 (Friday). Detail information regarding the election may be obtained from the Returning Officer Mr CVL Tlanhlua. The following lecturers will assist the R.O. as Polling Officials.

3. First Terminal Examination: The First Terminal Examination for I B.A. (General and Honours) will be conducted between 27th July - 6th August, 2009. Lecturers are notified to submit all question papers for the examination by July 22, 2009. Results will be declared on August 21, 2009.

The First Terminal Examination for II and III B.A. will be conducted between 31st August - 4th September, 2009.

4. College Week: The College Week 2009 will be held between 10th - 14th August at College Veng Field.
